We are all merely walking prisons
Temporary hosts for our truest forms
Which lie encased in workable shells
The spirit of us escapes through rest
Power down the machine
Eventual slumber arrives to embrace our restlessness
This is when we are truly free
To fly out and embrace the night air
Experiencing life unhinged in its purest essence
Unanchored by limitations of the flesh
Those needs of hollow passions
The lessons of hate through ignorant senses
Purity of our souls is what defines us
Whether it’s a stop for dreams or an eternity with angels
Our life begins when the body shuts down
